The College of Engineering at Wadi Al-Dawasir held a recognition ceremony on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to honor the students who won awards in the College-level Student Scientific Forum. Certificates were presented to students who achieved top positions across the various competition tracks. The ceremony also recognized students who received awards at the University level in the Holy Qur’an Competition, marking the conclusion of the activities organized by the College’s Student Activities Committee.
The ceremony commenced with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the College, who congratulated the participating and honored students. He emphasized the importance of student activities in developing students’ skills, enhancing their academic and cultural capabilities, and fostering a spirit of positive competition among them.
The College’s General Coordinator of the Student Scientific Forum and the Male Students’ Coordinator stated that the College is committed to increasing the quality and number of distinguished participations in scientific competitions and forums, with the aim of achieving advanced positions at the University level and reflecting the College’s outstanding academic reputation. He also praised the significant efforts of the faculty members in supporting and mentoring students throughout the preparation and participation process. In addition, he expressed his sincere appreciation to the volunteer judging committee from the College for their valuable contributions to the successful evaluation of the forum entries.
In the same context, the Academic Advising Supervisor commended the participating students and announced that, beginning next semester, the Academic Advising Unit intends to prepare a comprehensive annual calendar of all University activities. This initiative aims to help students effectively manage their time, maintain a balance between academic achievement and extracurricular involvement, improve their academic performance, and encourage greater participation in student activities.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean of the College presented certificates to the honored students and members of the judging committee in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected excellence and achievement. The event reaffirmed the College’s ongoing commitment to supporting its students in academic, cultural, and extracurricular endeavors.
