Robotics is a vast domain of science which requires the integration of different engineering domain including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, electronics, and communication engineering, in addition to computer, programing, and artificial intelligence sciences. The integration of all those engineering domain can lead to creating intelligent, controller or self-driven robots.
The main idea of this project is to design and controal a device such train using wireless techniques. Students were able to control the train using GSM networks. Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) techniques have been used to control the motion of the train by the usage of the cell phone keypad. An example, pushing number 2, the train move forward and pushing number 8, the train move backward. Moreover, to stop the train, number 5 is used.
This project can be used to control underground metro or train and the delay response can be reduced by increasing the frequency according to where T is the time delay and F is the frequency.
