With confident steps and rapid achievements, the College of Engineering in Wadi Al-dawaser is entering its eleventh year, during which the college has achieved many successes and has been a prominent position within the educational system of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. The competence and training in the educational systems and the excellent administrative and service systems support the good learning process. The high level of educational standards in engineering is evident from the graduates of this college.
Since the establishment of the college in the academic year 1430H – 1431H, the entire curriculum of the college is based on Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, which is accredited by national and international level. The college currently offers three bachelor’s degree programs: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer and Networks Engineering. The electrical engineering program has received international accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The college has a technical committee for continuous revision of the curriculum to adapt to the latest developments in scientific content or teaching methods.
The college has well-trained and experienced faculty with various specializations in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer engineering to impart technical knowledge to students. Although the college is located in a small town in the Riyadh region, the number of students increases by 300 and the number of faculty members increases by 40. The administration of the college pays careful attention to the development of infrastructure by providing the necessary financial support for the expansion of laboratories and buildings. The college has also planned a new building for more than 500 students, which includes 30 lecture halls, the well-equipped laboratories, a computerized library, rooms for student activities, offices for faculty and administrative staff, etc. The university administration also encourages faculty members through various awards and financial support for scientific research and technical consulting activities. In addition to the regular education curriculum, college of engineering in Wadi Al-dawaser strives to achieve a high standard in engineering education by introducing the latest technologies in teaching, training and technical aids used by the best universities in the world.
