To keep moderation with the civilized development witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University has worked to keep steps with development by establishing agencies for development and quality in all faculties. Besides, the Vice Deanship for Development and Quality in the College of Engineering in Wadi Al-Dawasir established several committees and units to align the college’s strategical plan to meet the vision of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030. As a result of following these strategic plans and the support of the President of the University, Our college has achieved several local and international accreditations, such as the Academic Accreditation for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as an international accreditation and a local institutional accreditation from the Evaluation Authority Education and Training.
A. Vision:
To achieve the college in excellence all sciences and cultures to build an effective society and raise the educational, academic and research levels in order to achieve the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030 and the strategical plan of the university.
B. Mission:
Applying the highest standards of quality and academic accreditation and building an effective community partnership to enhance the university’s rank among Saudi and international universities.
C. Objectives:
- Develop a strategic plan to implement development and quality standards.
- Raising the rank of the college academically in all domains.
- Create a training plan to develop the capabilities of the faculty and administrative staff to meet the Human Capability Development Program launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
- Achieving the objectives of the college’s strategic plan to meet with the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.
- Encourage a culture of development, innovation, and creativity.
- Preparing annual reports for evaluation and quality assurance.
- Raising the level of institutional performance in all areas.
Deanship Tasks:
- Seeking to spread the culture of quality in the college.
- Evaluate the level of performance in the college or units.
- Submit units and committees’ performance to the hierarchical authority.
- Work on the implementation and follow-up of academic accreditation.
- Develop strategic plans for the college and units.
- Create work teams in the projects proposed by the unit.
- Encouraging college faculty and staff to enroll in voluntary activating.
- Provide the necessary facilities to all unit teams based on the tasks.
- Documenting the efforts and results of the units and submitting them to the Deanship
- Preparing periodic reports on performance levels and beneficiaries' satisfaction in each activity.
- Follow up the progress of the Excellence Awards procedures in the college.
- Organizing training and seminar, which are assigned to be organized by the Chairman of the Scientific Committee.
- Carry out other tasks assigned to the committees in relation to quality and their implementation
